Will somebody tell car designers that bulbs often need changing. Daughters car, not LR, has popped a fog light bulb. To replace it requires either: trim removal with five breakable plastic trim clips, inner wheel arch removal or bumper removal - or perhaps all three!
What is wrong with a couple of screws to hold on light surround, or designing so the bulb holder can be removed from rear. |

Know how you feel. Thought I had to replace the fuel pump relay on my Ford Galaxy Mk1 and that involved removing most of the dash. Luckily it wasn't the relay just a small leak at the fuel pipe join to the fuel filter which was not allowing the system to pressurise.
Also on the same car, to top up the brake fluid, one needs to remove the air-filter housing and part of the bulkhead. |

Its 02:00 in the morning in a quiet Border town of essex.
Suddenly "thwakka-Thwakka-thwakk Wirrrrrrrrrrrr!" The sound of a machine gun followed by a whine or so it seems... To me it sounded like the Incoming fire alarm that the army uses. I shake it off as a trick of the mind and try to get back to sleep. I check on the car to check its not a angle grinder or something as i'm hard of hearing... Only it persists for 40 mins... Eventually curiosity gets the better of me, I know its the trick of the mind, I shove on a pullover, a coat and head outside. Upon getting up i can not only hear the noise but i can feel its vibrations... Its bitter cold... and it now sounds like the turbine whir and rotor blade thump of a chinook. There's definitely something there. I head towards the sound for a good ten minutes in direction of the motorway, I eventually get there. its a bunch of blokes working on resurfacing the road. The sound is absolutely deafening for even a somewhat deaf bloke like myself. All of the blokes look at me in disbelief that anyone would be in the middle of nowhere at this time, Content that i know what the sound is i head back home. You would have thought they would use some quieter plant if they're working at that time of night. I recently ordered some parts online, which were dispatched very quickly, unfortunately using APC as the courier.
Yesterday I received the following email from APC:- > THIS IS AN AUTOMATICALLY GENERATED EMAIL - PLEASE DO NOT REPLY TO IT > > Consignment Number xxxxxx > Your Ref: xxxx. > For delivery to Mr Blackwolf > > Your order was LEFT WITH NEIGHBOUR on 25/03/2019 14:45. There was no card through the letterbox, and nothing at all to indicate which which neighbour it has been left. There are probably 50 or 60 residences within "left with neighbour" range of my house. What do they expect me to do, guess the neighbour as a kind of lottery? |

Feel that black wolf I had a parcel signed for by a neighbor while I was away in Wales,
Ticked the left with neighbour sheet but didn’t state which neighbour. Turned it to be that “neighbour” and offered to sell me my own property. She said how it was worth £300 because she opened the shipping note so she wanted that for it. She didn’t understand what it was and said I had made it bespoke (she didn’t understand the concept of bespoke”, because no one else would buy it. Told the manufacturer who claimed it back on the shipping company, manufactured another, and sent it out with a note saying do not leave with door no x Finally received my item, and went round there to tell her I had no need of it. She put the item up on gumtree and then got done for attempting to sell stolen goods. The testimony for that was waived as inadmissible by defence, but I stated it was a bespoke item with only two in existence. So it was admissible concrete evidence. Last year I lost something like £100 due to items lost in mail or not arriving Edited for clarity. No, inner London councils have bought out some homes here (in some cases built whole estates) for deportation of their scum as it’s more affordable here.
Loads from hackney, her son was a propped chav who used to bowl it as he walked, someone shouted at him “why do you walk like you’ve something up your arse?” All the TOWIE lot are actually from Enfield or places like Basildon or Harlow which are “new towns” to handle overspill. Get a load of lowlife up here wanting to be on the show, they’re usually in for a surprise when they’re met by real east Saxons, quite funny to watch... Northwest Essex used to be sleepy, pretty and unspoilt.
Then they opened the M11. Is there any part of England that money, Councils, capitalism and aspiration will not spoil? If so, I want to move there. And spoil it...... |
