But you surely must admire the amateur dramatic talent of these guys when somebody sneezes within 5 metres of them.

Strange coincidence there. Only been to two footie matches in my life and one of those was Ipswich. The other was in 1971 when little Colchester Utd beat Don Revie's all-conquering (in those days) Leeds Utd in the FA Cup. Have to confess that being jam-packed into one end of a tiny stadium and shouting my head off at the Leeds goalie ("Shakey Sprakey") was kind of fun at that age! |

It's been a cracking start to the World Cup. Barely a duff game and some great goals so far.
I'm sure all you benevolent chaps must be full of mudita for those of us who enjoy the beautiful game. To return the kind thoughts here are some links to programmes you may have missed because of the rescheduling. https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0b7...rn-ireland https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0b6...and-cancer https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p05r...0-puddings https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b0b6...w-14062018 Enjoy! |

Why does the media assume absolutely everyone is fanatical over football and pop music?

Normally I'd agree, but this year with the regs imposed for Toyota's benefit, it was a bit of a farce. I appreciate it's an endurance race and you have to finish to be in with a chance of winning, but a rule which states 'You can't lap faster than another (specified) car' and to make doubly sure we'll get you to pit more often and for longer, sort of goes against the grain of motorsport IMO. For my part, I have no real interest in the 'Beautiful Game', so it's 4 weeks wasted on me. After England's abject first two weekends in South Africa, I have instead been enthralled by the ODIs which have been fantastic. But summer for me is all about the Tour de France, epic cycling whatever the media noises about doping, which starts in just over a couple of weeks. Cannot wait!!!! Monsieur Le Grenadier

Drove down the hill today (5kms of twisty Alpine roads) behind an estate car containing a mother and her two kids. Proudly displayed in the rear window was the French equivalent of the 'Baby on Board' sticker, to make sure that angry, fast, agressive, close-to-the-bumper and entriely unsafe drivers steer clear of her car and off-spring and thereby ensure their (the off-springs') safety. An understandable defensive system by a mother wanting to do anything to protect her loved-ones. She texted the WHOLE way down, but no-doubt only to inform her friends how great an idea it was to keep her kids safe by displaying a 'Bébé à Bord' badge in the back.

The CO2 shortage. Right enough is enough I can do without a bottle of fizzy drink there is always an alternative at the pub for beer and cider. However, I just read that due to the gas shortage Warburton’s have stopped production of Crumpets Wars have been declared for less. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..
