Drove to my ex in-laws for their 40th wedding anniversary (I know - it’s weird) as my girls are their grandchildren and they wanted them there (which is fine).
Had to have a few beers for Dutch courage when it came to seeing the entire ex family again for the first time in about 18 years - too many to drive home after. My missus drove home and thrashed the b’Jesus out of the 110 (80 on the M1) with every gear change a crash/thump. I couldn’t say anything as she was doing me a favour really. What a sh@@ day. Apologies for using the forum as some sort of deviants confessional but I just had to get this off my chest before bedtime. |

Doc, that cracks me up! My father in law has a 110 and suffers the same fate on a regular basis, mother in law is not noted for her mechanical sympathy. She is tremendous in many ways but driving a 110 isn’t her forte. I do wonder how much having the careful owner in the passenger seat creates stress and exacerbates the problem! Mrs H learned to drive in a series 3, so (say it quietly) drives it better than me.
I hope you enjoyed the beer though, always an upside! |

Whilst sitting patiently at my stealers the other day , 2 blokes were helping themselves to the free coffee. In the 10 mins I was there they had 2 coffees each and then between then took 8 bottles of orange juice and 8 of water ....
“ it’s free , what’s the problem “ was the reply when I suggested that it might have been a tad excessive . Apparently they weren’t even regular customers just passing through with a minor fault . Some people just take the proverbial |

Some people lose their minds when there is free stuff to be had. It's embarrassing.

Talking of complimentary drink, when myself and the present Mrs Rashers got married, the lady who ran the venue where we had our reception pleaded with us not to have a free bar. She said that you see a different side to even your closest relation or friend that you didn't know when a free bar is being offered.
We let them pay for their own booze and spent the savings on the honeymoon |

I despise football. Never been to a match in my life.
People (fat ones especially) wearing football tops, who clearly haven't just come off the pitch. I don't go watch Motorsport in a full nomex suit..... England flags, on foreign made cars. The whole beer/football thuggery. you football. |
