Windows 10.
Just ARUGHHH.. Tried to get a video off my dash cam to have a look at it and it has deleted the sound off the file. Plays fine in the camera, on the pc no sound. Told to download a codec, did this, still no sound, try a different player, still no sound. An hour into it I feel like I am reprogramming the whole computer for the sake of a 2min video so I declare It I cant be bothered and left it at that. All my videos worked fine when it was windows 7 why have they caused so much hassle with this (and many other things) Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

Don't get me started on video formats etc, they drive you mad!
On a different note. Driving down a back lane today, come across a car just stopped in the road blocking it. Old bloke ccame out house near it making odd gestures, whilst I wait for the car to be moved. He then does eventually get in it and move it, drives over grass and kerb next to me and around me and on shouting something along the lines of I should have reversed up and parked out the way so he could tootle by in his own sweet time. I replied with: You don't park in the middle of a public road and block it off. And my view is I'm not obliged to give way to an obstruction in the road, no road user has rights over another except emergency vehicles. If you do stop on a public road, it's got to be safe and not causing obstruction, and you definitely have to expect to remove or move your vehicle if other traffic comes along and you are blocking it. What if emergency vehicles needed to pass with no way past on a single vehicle width road? Although, surely with him being 70 plus I'm sure he knows the Highway Code... Last but not least, to cap the afternoon off a woman approaches a roundabout indicating left as I give way. Good job I still didn't pre-judge what she was doing as she clicked the indicator off in seconds and indicated right and straight around in front of me. We can't all be perfect, but there is just wanted careless behaviour about this year I've noticed it on the roads around here worse than ever. If you ever drive in France, never trust an indicator. In fact if you see one flashing, its a mistake.

I can quite believe it! I was warned about it enough when I learnt to drive.
I think over here at times some think they actually are on the continent, especially in mini roudabouts, they'll go the opposite side of them. No Guts, No Glory.

Trains - a taxi picked me up from the office at 4.00. I've just walked in at 9.00. The first train was Basingstoke to Reading, a Virgin cross country job. First class smelt of pooh as it always does due to the inherent design flaw with the toilet system. At Reading some halfwit tried to force the door open, knackering the system and whilst waiting I watched my connection to Worcester leave from another platform. I then got to Oxford only for a freight train to breakdown and block all routes north. On the plus side the ticket was only ฃ139......😖. Back to the car......

I thought I read somewhere you can get a refund or partial refund for late or delayed trains.
Not sure if there's any truth in that but I'm sure I didn't read it somewhere. No Guts, No Glory.

Same here in Norfolk. As we say, Normal for Norfolk. Usually a right hand indicator means I will be leaving the roundabout......... I suppose that would be correct in France? |

I'm sure you can. Not sure how to do it but at a guess it will involve several hurdles that in I'm too lazy to jump. Now if it was automated.......that would be awesome customer service.

It could mean that, or they may go straight on or left even. In reality they probably knocked it on by mistake The way to drive here is to keep clear of everyone else and always assume they have right of way, even when you know they dont. Then there's Priorit้ a droite which is not universal, makes little sense as to where its applied and utterly lethal to unsuspecting tourists. |

Maybe if they'd use hazards it'd mean they'll reverse around the roudabout? No Guts, No Glory.

Perhaps but one good thing is, if they flash their lights at you, there's a police check ahead
