Advocate is good and works very rapidly, stronghold works to an acceptable level but takes a couple of days.
Supermarket stuff and Frontline are not worth paying a penny for.
All of it is damned expensive.

Door slammers.... Why do some people who get in and out of cars (and our Defenders) have to slam the doors closed, while a more gentle push or pull would have just the same effect, i.e. close the door....?
Irritates me, and worst is, it is not just the odd person who is a door slammer, actually quite a few people do it. You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

In Scotland - over-zealous "YES" campaigners (for Scottish independence)

Saturday, Party in the Palace (a music festival), bunch of IDIOTS behaving like the Hitler Youth with their "YES" saltire flags - really hacks me off. Don't they realize they're doing more to damage their cause than anything?

These graffiti-daubing louts are scum

I'll be voting "No" anyway, but these idiots do make me think of the Hitler Youth, and it can be quite intimidating! Defender "Puma" 2.4 110 County Utility (possibly the last of the 2.4's)

Must say Martin we had the same thing in Glasgows west end at the weekend!!! We are sick of all the yes placards and stickers hanging from lamposts and street signs and the home made posters and billboards which seem to be cropping up everywhere. I too am a no and I don't like having my political views being questioned by some objectionable random idiot who wants to ram their views down my throat!!

Postage and carriage charges-excessive
I've booked for the LR show in Peterborough and decided thatI should get a few bits for the *z Tent. Went on to the UK distributors site, found some new guy ropes, 6 off, weight say 100gms, replacement tent pegs, 10 off, weight say 300 gms, bit pricey at £3 each but hey! they come from Australia. Total goods £45, went to check out -and- £39 added for standard carriage!!!
I cannot understand how suppliers can do this, I regularly send packages weighing in excess of this for less than a third of this cost. I can't accept that to pick and pack, then ship costs even close to £39.
Needless to say I cancelled the order-off to Cotswold Camping tomorrow, expect to pay £20 for replacements and get points on my loyalty card as well.

A particular port security guard that instead of doing what she is being paid for, she decides to bu993r off and do a spot of fishing prohibiting entry and exit to the workshop/stores for over an hour to engineers that do have more pressing things to do.

Time for a vent. It's ben building up for a while now but now is time to release the pressure Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter

People who drive round with P on the back of their cars. If you still need plates on the back then you shouldn't be allowed to drive alone. You've passed the same test as everyone else. Why should we make take special consideration around you. Get the P off and drive like you're qualified to do or hand your licence in and put an L back on.

People who for whatever reason like to know everyone's business and make a point of finding it out but get very sensitive when you find something out about them. Seems like they have nothing to do in their sad little lives that they need to have knowledge over others. Perhaps they should get a proper job to fill their time more effectively.

People on FB who ask the most inane questions. What should I have for breakfast today? Or people who pour their hearts out over every little issue they have in their life and expect everyone to be interested. I don't care that you have a cold or your cat has done a funny shaped poo that looks like your neighbour.

And breathe......

EDIT

Bikers, I know you are smaller than me. But I'm not going to drive around paranoid of hitting you. If you drove more considerately then the roads would be a better place. Don't think that every accident involving a bike and a car is the cars fault. It's not. The road is there for us all to use.
Bikers filtering, I know you are allowed to do this but it doesn't mean that you have to do it. Squeezing between cars stuck at lights just so that you can save 3/100ths of a second on your journey. Get over yourselves.

PS. I know not all bikers are like it but most I have come across in Bristol the last week or so all fall into that category 110 D250 SE HT

Don't know if I would agree about the rant regarding the P plates it's not that I give them more consideration but it allows me to stay out of their way on roundabouts so I'm less likely to get cut up or hit and when parking I don't park near them. Laughing 2001 TD5 110 County Station Wagon - sold
