One has done a disappearing act and abandoned their cat.

Isn't that a criminal offence in the UK?

Don't know! I toyed with the idea of reporting them to the RSPCA but I thought they might put her down ( the cat not the neighbour) so in the end after feeding her outside for weeks i let her come in as it was blowing a blizzard.
She is improving and it's now possible to stroke her provided that you keep your wits about you.

And Ken, you should be careful making naughty comments like that so close to Christmas - Santa might put you on his naughty list. Rolling with laughter

Hmmmm now the idea of having them put down is quite appealing. Some of the neighbours that is not the cat.

Whilst not being a particular animal lover, I do not understand why certain people do not take care of the animals they are responsible for.

Ken around here your dogs would probably find some other 'dogs' as interactive play toys as they are more like overgrown happy rats rather then like real dogs.

That's why we're getting an Old English Sheep Dog (called "Bobtails" here) next year. Saw an article on the BBC about how the breed is dying out. I agree - too many "handbag dogs" these days... Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

We've got a cat like that, you can stroke her if you keep your wits about you. Pampered, fed, sleeps all day on a cushion in front of the log burner or in the sun on the water bed.

Hisses at the neighbours when they come in to feed her chicken when we're away.

Miserable cat and a Defender, masochist or what?
