110 CSW roof lining
I want to access the roof headliner rear panel on the roof lining on a 110 CSW (1993). Can this be removed without taking out the front and rear headlining panels and all of the side trim panels? I have taken the panel above the rear door and the two rear trim panels around the small windows. The trim clips are also out that hold the back panel. But no sign of it coming out!

I really didn't want to remove all of it at this point, especially as I have a sunroof to work around as well.

Can it be done with out breaking it?

Hi Scott Landy,

I stripped down my puma CSW last year to fit sound proofing. Given how long I spent in it you'd think I'd have a clearer idea, but it's not crystal I'm afraid. However, from recollection I don't think you can get the end panel out without taking out what you already have, but also the middle panel. Additionally I think you have to take off the plastic trim to get the panels off as well, otherwise the flex required to pop out their lower edges might crease the middle of the panel, you wouldn't want that. With the plastic trim out you just have a small lip of metal around the roofline to get the panel out. Even that requires some bending and flexing of the panel. Sadly, I don't think you can get the end panel out without doing the middle panel and window/pillar trim I'm afraid, no shortcut. That's only my experience, others might offer a quicker route to follow. Good luck. Thumbs Up Monsieur Le Grenadier

I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list.....

Again puma experience.

You'll probably need to remove trim and middle panel not front one tho. Good luck.

110 CSW '96 experience:

Indeed, you have to take all out. The front of the rear panel goes under the middle panel and they are fixed together to the roof bar with the fir trees. I did not take the plastic side trim panels out, but loosened the fixings at the top only. It requires some flexing of the roof lining to get it out though... Cheers, Vincent

Thanks for that. I'll have a crack at it! At least I'm not going mad!

On the later ones (i'm pretty sure they all use the same floppy headlining), you remove the middle section as it goes over the front and rear sections. but you'll only need to pull the clips out and shove it forward a bit to drop the rear down.

Buy all new fir trees though, they don't like being reused.
