I have HD tubeless "Wolf" with MT/R tyres, would you still like a photograph of side view? |

Thanks too StressedComa, that’s really helpful. Good to know an alternative AT tyre that looks the part with wolfs. I know this is off topic but what are geolanders like noise-wise on the road?

I had Goodyear Wrangler MT/R before them which used to hum at about 40, compared to those they’re very quiet. It’s still noisy but I think that’s the nature of the beast as I’ve got a snorkel and a roof rack, there’s no tyre roar over the wind noise now at least!

I couldn’t find much in the way of reviews based in the UK, most seemed to be in the US or Aus but as a more beefy looking AT with a 50k mile tread wear warranty I thought I’d give them a whirl considering their cost vs BFG.
They did alright in the Lake District the other week and in the snow, yet to try them on any mud though. |

Thanks MercianRover that is a very nice stock example, which is what I have in mind for mine… am I right in thinking those wolfs are cream coloured? Would you mind sharing the colour name? Thanks very much!

Thank you.
If there are any modifications I keep them subtle. The paint is smooth rite cream, I wouldn't use it again because it doesn't flow nicely when brushed. Nothing like the original hammerite paint with it's high VOC anyway. |

Might have gotten myself a used set (4) of Wolf rims, LR original. Just need a fifth. Anyway, they're painted and have some rust emerging. I'd sandblast them, no problem.
My question: what paint do you all use? 2k? 1k paint and 2k clear coat? Spray gun is available, but my IQ in painting steel rims is fairly low |

Not my area of expertise at all, but my understanding is sandblasting will leave material in the seam between centre and rim but I could be wrong Rob

that would be the area I would de-rust chemically.

That rather depends on the blast media you are using. |

The corundum I have (fine but not too fine) should be okay and clean out the seams pretty well. If there is oxidation between layers of metal (don't know how the Wolfs are manufactured) I'd use a product called Fertan and then wash it out and be done with that.
but back to my main question: primer and paint? What do you guys use? |
