I think they’re actually a BA thread for some reason, mine were anyway. I replaced with M5 or M6 panhead screws if I recall correctly.

You could be correct looking at this, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Fuel-Filler-Nec...Sw9~xeuTrU but I'm not a purist so might try to save a few quid and find something a bit cheaper

I’ve only ever seen pozi screws on 300tdi’s. I replace them with m5x20 pozi screws which are readily available and even stainless if you want.

The originals are 2BA slotted head 77941, with nuts RTC608.
2BA is 4.70mm major diameter, so as above can be replaced with your choice of M5. Wouldn't recommended stainless without isolating from the panel. ![]() ![]() |

Just replaced the same on the red zepplin a quick tip put anti seize on the back of the new ones will pay dividends if you need to remove in the future
