I had the same transmission chatter a few times the other week when returning from the Peterborough show when slowing down on the motorway. It`s at the stealers today with a long list of fixes for them to do, and the chatter is one of them

Was browsing another forum and found intersting reading some other explanations for chatter from the clutch.
possible the Puma has an upgraded clutch and may explain the chatter etc in our drive trains. Have a read and see what you think. http://www.aulro.com/afvb/technical-chatte...wheel.html Rgds James Puma 110 - gone Series III 1973 - going strong |

I was actually referring to the single mass flywheel being discussed which the second or third post listed as having chattering noise at tick over.
This is the problem that I noted before they replaced my complete clutch assembly. I thought maybe the puma had changed from the TD5 dual mass flywheel to the one mentioned as the upgrade but slightly noisier. My upgrade helped a bit but I still have a noise in 1'st low at idle speed up a slight hill. I guess I wait till something fails before they get it right.
