Please forgive my ignorance, but what exactly is the difference between a snorkel and a raised air intake? I've always thought of them as different terms for the same thing. I'll submit a vote pending the answer........ Dirty Deeds - Done Dirt Cheap

A snorkel is waterproof whilst a RAI isn't necessarily so. The latter is a good minimum in very dusty conditions as the air tends to be cleaner higher up. Darren

Thanks.
Snorkels / Raised Air Intakes were always best summed up for me by the Euan MacGregor Long Way Down programme when they fitted the air intake the wrong way round and choked it with dust. Probably a no vote here. Dirty Deeds - Done Dirt Cheap |
