Simple answer if you go swimming and like the cabin flooded then it's a yes if you don't want wet feet then no do t bother it doesn't do any good other than snorkelling

A snorkel is waterproof whilst a RAI isn't necessarily so. The latter is a good minimum in very dusty conditions as the air tends to be cleaner higher up. Darren

Snorkels / Raised Air Intakes were always best summed up for me by the Euan MacGregor Long Way Down programme when they fitted the air intake the wrong way round and choked it with dust. Rolling with laughter
