United Kingdom 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Epsom Green
4.0 4.2 or 4.4 V8 into a TDCi
This is my first post so hello everyone.

So here I am with a V8 itch again!! I have a 2008 double cab with 80 odd thousand on it, still excellent but I just need that noise, and to be honest, I miss my old 50th V8.

Im no stranger to bolting V8s into defenders but I want this to be with current tackle. My thoughts are
1/ a jag 4.0 or 4.2 supercharged lump straight onto the 6 speed box
2/ an L322 4.4 lump or with transmission (in my more lurid moments i want to use the full L322 running gear including air susp)

Has anyone on here done this? Id be grateful for any advice (especially pics) mainly around mountings and getting the transmission to fit. Im really favouring the 4.4 full shebang from the L322 Rangie as they are a lovely drive.

Thanks folks

2 things...... it will be terrifically expensive..... the electrics will be by far the biggest job.

Cheaper to go ls3 or keep it old school rover v8 4.6 Efi.

Other thing to consider is what emissions will be needed given yours is a 2008.

There's a p38 on ebay atm running a jaguar 4.0 supercharged v8 mated to a disco 3 6spd manual gearbox so it can't be that bad to do it... famous last words!
I think it said it was run by an omex ecu.
