Hi guys,
I want to fix this corrosion in the back of my LR. It's quite bad! Is there anything complicated about it, can I just take it to a bodyshop & ask them to weld a new (aluminium?) panel back in? ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge [/img] |

Mine rotted through in a similar place on both arches, cut the bad out, took back to bare ali, and etched primed and painted both sides. Then I bonded new ali in the holes that I cut with new ali sandwiched eitherside, I then riveted them in place (have a look at my build thread - page 3 - http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic50187-30.html as I put a few pics up).
Hope that helps 1999 300TDI 110 CSW BMW 3.0 1972 VW Beetle 1200 2002 Dax Rush 3.9 V8 2012 Audi A3 tdi 2020 Renault Kangoo electric |
