Where to overland
Sitting thinking about work and as I am indirectly employed by Europe (funded projects) my contract ends mid 2019. I have always wanted to travel and may have the perfect opp. I have the truck all set up with tent etc so just need a little (long range tanks etc) additions. And also have time to save. Would love to visit oz as have a cousin in Brisbane and friend in adalaide and always wanted to visit Darwin (not sure why Darwin think it's crocodile Dundee when I was younger) so thinking is it a pipe dream or possible with a family (would be then a 8 year old and 3 year old)

Of course could do elsewhere have thought morocco, Iceland etc or even the US but with them being closer thinking a big trip.

I've always fancied driving to Cape Town, but with young kids not sure how safe that would be! Sounds like you've made you decision to me... Ship to Australia and explore! Thumbs Up Where ever it would be a great adventure! James

Driving to Cape Town could be dangerous, but if I had the chance I would ship my Landy to Cape Town and explore South Africa, Namibia and Botswana

Have thought about Cape Town in the past but as you say could be dangerous.
The oz trip would not be without its issues especially with the young but at least shouldn't have to deal with political unrest etc.

Planning is key and need to start if it's going to happen
