Your ECU is configured to your unique engine, and indeed adapts itself to the engine's particular characteristics, especially when new. Although it is likely that the engine will run (at least once the alarm/immobiliser issues have been sorted out) with a different ECU, it will not run well.
If fitting a new ECU, at the very least you will need to sort out the alarm/immobiliser, and then code the injector initial calibration settings into the ECU, and then carry out injector and fuel pump "learn" cycles. |

If you get something like the BAS remote remap tool you can have the tuned map but then simply reload the standard map whenever you like.

G'day Steve,
I'm very interested in chipping my recently purchased 2.4 puma. I take it you are happy with the Alive option and is there any look out for me. Thanks mate Peter |
