I did wonder if it might be something like that, but wasn't sure exactly how it was setup.
Will try driving with diff lock and see how I get on. Hopefully covered by extended warranty. Keith |

diff lock in and it should drive, does sounds like drive flange
Check whether your stealer considers drive flanges warrantable or a wearing / replaceable part. |

I wouldn't have thought it would be under warranty. Take the wheel off and bolt a new one on yourself, they are only about a tenner and 15 mins to fit tops, taking it slow. Ray

if the Diff lock wont make any difference then it's likely the adaptor shaft from the gearbox to the transfer box, which has failed, same issue of splines failing, but in a different place.
Either will be covered under the warranty, they're not a consumable part like a clutch, if your dealer says otherwise go above their head to LR customer services. I wouldn't waste your time checking anything if it's under warranty, just get LR assist out and have them take it to the dealer, it's what you pay them for (via the warranty). |

Diff lock has made no difference and based on being noise free when idling in neutral it appears to be gearbox/transfer box.
Landrover assist have confirmed that it doesn't drive so have arranged recovery to the dealership. Thank you for the comments so far, lets see what tomorrow brings. Keith |

Ashcroft would be nice however would a warranty repair not be genuine parts only? Keith

Update from the dealer today. Landrover have approved a replacement adapter shaft under extended warranty. As they needed to take the transfer box out to investigate I'm assuming this is the shaft between gearbox and transfer box.
Thanks for the guidance at the end of last week gents. Keith |
