Finally some progress on the range rover chassis. Took it to be blasted today

Today I made a start on the rear axle. Stripped the hubs off and started to remove the rust. Wire wheel first followed by flap disc to key for paint

great to see some progress! what is the shell like? can the shells on these be restored just like the defenders? reason why I ask is that you don't really see the classics sadly. Defender TD5 90 ---/--- Peugeot 306 HDI hatch back

The shell is pretty good apart from the front inner wings (as far as I can tell) so I'll be making one good shell out of the two average ones. I'll have a much better idea once the rolling chassis is complete and the shell is on the ramp

Bit of an update today

Clayton very kindly picked up my chassis and dropped it off today. It's turned out to be very good indeed!

Started on the chassis repairs today. There are two as far as I can see, one on the fuel tank bracket and one under the O/S/R bump stop bracket. Paint is arriving on Tuesday

Some progress today! Got the final bits of finishing done on the chassis and got a coat of RCP buzzweld on it

got some mates coming over on Sunday so will hopefully make some more progress at the weekend

Nice...

Just make sure you give the RCP plenty of time to cure properly before you coat over it - if you do, it should do you well!
