No - Duchy of Cornwall. Apparently Prince Charles doesn't have enough money so keeps upping the rent. Not sustainable any more. We rent another farm at Leominster so that'll keep me busy enough. But yeah, massively short sighted. The buildings will just get sold off and the land absorbed into larger farms. Pretty sad.
And Pat, offer still stands. If you need a dry shed, let me know - would be a lot cheaper than a storage site! https://instagram.com/bentheoandrews |

Have a search on Google for container storage. there's loads about and theres no safer place for one.
You would be paying 100-150 per calendar month. Most storage companies have ramps for you to use. |

I was hoping that somebody might pop up and say something along the lines of ....... "I've used this place for years and it's a great facility etc.. ".
I take it there is a good way of securing access to such containers? |

They will give you a lock that can't be removed unless you have the correct key. You can't grind them as you can't get to them. You could also put your own locks on. If i remember rightly you could put four on.
A mate of mine has about 60k worth of motor bikes in one. They are very safe. I think the problem you have is most of us keep them at home or in our own garages. |

Are you willing to go as far as the Cotswolds?

Rather be closer to home. I have a little run around for my day to day driving, but would like to have the Defender close enough to take out as and when I fancy.
............, but if all else fails, the Cotswolds are not a million miles away. |

Rather than looking for car storage, I suggest you search for secure caravan storage.
I'm sure they will allow a car and some have very good security. Nick |

Just thought I would report back.
Took a look at several local options (greater West Mids area). My findings, may be of help to someone: Most of the local car storage specialists were full, i.e. no vacancies. Most places only offered a store and leave option, i.e. no regular coming and going. I wanted the freedom to come and go. Most flexibility was found at caravan storage establishments, most of which offer motor home storage and so are used to folks coming and going. Caravan storage establishments have a security rating; wasn't difficult to find places that provide a "Gold" standard. Apart from providing a little peace of mind this also goes down well with insurance people. In the end I used a caravan facility. One car storage facility, although full, tried their best to accommodate me. PM if you would like a recommendation. Last edited by Pat on 15th Jun 2017 11:57am. Edited 1 time in total |
