Heh, heh, as evidence goes that sounds a bit tenuous to me but who knows? Without more detail I think it's impossible to say. GP1 I quite agree! I think it's great to see him driving such a beautiful Series.
I do however, shed a little tear when you see what some people do. I do try to keep my opinoins to myself, I won't mention Khan . GP1 you sound like you speak from authority? There will always people who don’t like things and feel obliged to share their opinion. I always wonder if they also go to people’s houses and comment on their choice of furniture and decoration.
As far as I can see in the photos, a series has been repainted in its original colour, had all metal work regalvanised, new stainless fixings, new wheels, new stainless exhaust, new removable hood set up and maybe a nice new interior. Don’t see an issue with of that tbh. |

Well, the top picture made me start searching for SIII on t'internet. Sadly it takes me to Williams Classics which has a lovely selection of pre-baked Series vehicles, it is just the price tag that's uncomfortable. I really like the 109, but £29k is more than I'd want to pay. Very pretty though.
I've seen Beckham junior in his Defender parked outside the office in London (Gt Marlborough Street). When money clearly isn't an object, I think it is good that they both choose to drive something from Solihull, and not some blinged up Kahn creation! |

I think both 'versions' look great
Agree from someone who can drive anything it still looks cool. If top gear still had the cool wall this would be ICE Cool along with some super cars. Its a different cool Good to see It looks very Cool n Vintage, especially with the rear colour coded cross member. On their site each car is basically rebuilt, with around 1000 hours of time so you can see with leather options, engine options where the money goes... Just look at Twisted stuff even without the LS3's the cars are £100K plus (with a 2.2 derv), then there is 'The Landrovers' https://www.the-landrovers.com/custom-build-to-order/ doing up market refits and Arkonik https://www.arkonik.com/en-GB/inventory/ another refurb / retro builds for sale at $200,000 All seems fair to me, if their is a demand, I would love being involved in building these Anyway I love it, and here are a couple of Cool n Vintage beauties Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

Yes I too like the colour coded cross member. Then it struck me. I've actually got a colour coded cross member, well nearly, bodywork is Santorini Black, cross member standard solihul faded black. Defender 90XS SW

Cool n Vintage. All the porn a man needs during lockdown. Bliss.
On DB, I love his passion for all things British, fashion, cars, classic/heritage brands, British countryside, British food etc. Land Rovers are no exception and he’s had many. I very much like both the original and newer version, whether one and the same or separate vehicles. What his passion does do, whether directly via his 70m Instagram followers or vicariously via Brooklyn, is to keep the icon at the forefront of the public’s imagination, vital in this era of blobs and McGovern travesties. Talking of his passion for LRs and his multiple ownership, it does make me wonder if he would change an original spec S3 rather than simply buy a new one. Perhaps that’s the reason for the mentioned price tag. Who knows. Good on him overall, he is a great ambassador for all things British. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Can't see a problem with people expressing an opinion, whether they like the vehicle or even him.
Although the Sun's headline of a few years ago (Ten brave Lions. One stupid boy!) was a bit harsh. Personally I don't give a monkeys. Because Series Twos are better! |
