Hopefully not a silly question but I last topped my 2005 TD5 90 swivel grease up in my swivel housing was a year ago as I noticed the ball was looking quite dull & grey, however now I have purchased my beloved landy back and no maintenance has been done (only cover 3k since I sold it) is it worth filling up again with one shot grease?.
I used to normally see a build of greasey crud around the ball but wondered if it does lose a little in time although I have never seen any on my drive or splattered underneath it either. So Should they be shiny or a graphite grey colour normally?. It's more important to concentrate on what's ahead of you than what you have left behind. Thanks all for your help will make a dipstick up and check the level. It's more important to concentrate on what's ahead of you than what you have left behind.

Well made up a make shift dipstick and it measured 2 inches in level in both sides so is this enough?. It's more important to concentrate on what's ahead of you than what you have left behind.

the older oil filled used to be up to the top of the filler plug, so I can't see why the thicker grease should be any different.
I'd fill both sides up to the top if it were me. |
