Good to see increasing support for a V8.
The's "no substitute for cubic inches", alternatively "no replacement for displacement"!!

If the government goes on with it's plans to make diesel the devil I'll be looking at engine swaps. Would rather do that than sell my truck!

Love following your adventures Greeni, very jealous!

Greeni,..Hello from Aussie.
Have I missed something,...have you put up a proper drive by "sound" video of your V8 working hard?..If you have , I've missed it, so what post No. is it?
Also, now that it's mostly "done", some good shots of engine bay, exhaust etc,...when ya've got the time!
Thanks, Pickles.

Thanks for the update Steve. Pleased to hear that all the hard work has paid off and you've now got what you wanted (and some). One day I too hope to have a V8 auto in the collection, hopefully before they have been outlawed (although that would make it even cooler!). For the time being I have to make do with my Td5 and its noisy exhaust, which still puts a smile on my face. Here's to many smile-inducing miles to come! Waiting here too..... Whistle Thumbs Up

Interesting about fuel pump - how is it mounted and connected to fuel tank?

On my 110 with steel tank, I used 3.5 RR pump setup, but changed the actual pump for a 3.9 RR one to allow for extra flow for Gems. Seems to work ok on and off road.
I did originally buy an external pump, but was told that the external pump does not like sucking from the tank and hence having the pump in the tank is better ???

Ive read the same thing. My side mount tank has an extended RR pump in it. The inline ones dont/wont suck uphill apparently.

Thanks for the offer Greeni! To be fair I think im making a bit of progress. You know whats its like, im at the point of the little jobs where it looks like youve done nothing lol. Mainly loom/electrics now before i can get it fired up. Currently repainting and refitting the dash, but want to get all the new looms setup for the engine and sensors etc. Some planning required too Smile
