Have chased with another email chaps - no response. I am actually thinking of going with Lorryman's solution of extending the mud flap extension first now, I may well come onto the arch extension if that doesn't solve the problem.

If and when I get a response I will still aim to strike a deal.

Morning Very Happy

Just got some of these (the ST Maxx sidewalls throw everything up over the sides).

Yours look ace. I wonder if you could help with a couple of things?

1) Looks as though you drilled through the edge of the eyebrow at an angle - looks difficult - any tricks needed to get them in the right place Question
2) What did you use to cut them with? They're bloody tough and I don't want to chew them up with a saw etc. Confused
3) Any chance of a side picture fitted to see what shape you cut them? I have no artistic ability whatsoever Sad

Cheers,
Matt Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
But shout it at them in German because life is also terrifying and confusing...

Hi Matt, I took the eyebrow off the truck and just took my time drilling them..... just start at one end and take your time mate there isn't much to play with...put the extension against the eyebrow and drill your first hole then put your first self tapper in to hold it together.....it would be best if you could get someone to help hold it as tight against the eyebrow as possible then drill the holes as you go.... i also cut off the excess rubber before i drilled them so i could se better where i was drilling......

To cut them... i put them on the eyebrow first..... put them on a flat service and got a straight edge and just use a Stanley knife to cut on what ever angle you need.....the Stanley may not cut straight through the first time but it will give you your mark.....then just bend the rubber over and trim off the rest Thumbs Up

The shape i cut ...I just measured them all from the edge of the eyebrow
I think it was 2" up from the bottom and just a straight cut Thumbs Up

Brilliant - many thanks Thumbs Up
I wondered if you trimmed the excess around the edges - wasn't sure if we had the same extensions...

Looks like a good project for a (this?) wet weekend Very Happy

Cheers

I suppose, literally, the other side to what you did, would be to put a spacer between the factory arch & panel.
At least then no holes would have to be drilled in the colour matched arches. Land Rover Defenders. 67 years heritage, minimal appearance changes, still going strong all over the world. Not a fashion vehicle, but fashionable to own. Made for the needy, not the greedy. Ta ta Defender

Exactly Thumbs Up

In my case, I fitted one flexi extension and it didn't look right (my fault, I'm sure). I ended up buying 4 OEM black arches from the UK (£150)and just sold the blue ones for £90. Would have got more if one of them didn't have holes in it Rolling Eyes
Very happy with the look of them and Peter at Nakatanenga assured me that another TÜV testing station would pass the wheels/tyres (unlike the w*nkers nearest here).

I looked for "professionally" made spacers everywhere but came up blank (I'm sure I saw them somewhere). If I could find them I would still fit them Wink Tell someone you love them today because life is short.
