United Kingdom 2007 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Stornoway Grey
If the high/neutral/low transfer lever is moving normally it is unlikely to be stuck in neutral in the transfer box.

Sadly I'm thinking either a total clutch failure or a fractured mainshaft. Either way the gearbox will have to come out. Big Cry

Commiserations! All part of the Defender experience, I'm afraid.
