305's are for men with little willys however 285's reflect a more well endowed man.

Kind reggards

If you step down to the slightly narrower 285's it will grow to "baby carrot" . Trust me.

I spoke to Silverline this morning. They can do me a good price on BFG but didn't rate them too highly in the wet - reckoned I'd be paying a premium for the BFG past glory brand.

Unfortunately new stock of Cooper ST and Micky Thompson ATZ aren't available in Europe at the moment because they're not manufactured in a "clean oil" facility. They'll be back on line later this year but not before.

Basically they could offer me:
BFG AT 265*75*16
Cooper ATR (any size)
Cooper ST in 275*65*17, which they could fit to some black steels for me.

Quite tempted by the 17" but they're quite expensive (almost twice the price of 16").

Any thoughts? One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS
+ New Defender 110 First Edition

I haven't had a single problem with BFG MTs in the wet, never slid or or lost traction ever (I was told I sould have to tread REALLY carefully in the wet.... Load of tosh) so I can't see there being any problems with the ATs.

Silverline tried to push me away from BFG ATs a few weeks ago, don't suppose it could be anything to do with better margins on Cooper tyres?

Anyway 285 BFG ATs on 8x16 silver sports for my Xmas off SWMBO (I showed her a picture of the steel modulars or the silver sports and she preferred the silver sports - what else could I order after that Laughing ) No problems in the wet, good in the mud and snow and so quiet.

Maxxis Mudders were superb on my 100", great grip in all conditions, but very noisey.
