The jets looked to be part of the wiper body so unless the rubbers could be swapped I assume a new unit would be required.... 2006 TD5

Exactly what I thought. Seems an expensive way to buy new wiper blades! TD5 Defender 90

Just fit twin jets and then you are good to go with what ever wipers you want.
I haven't done this yet myself though. TheThunder RollsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

On my set up, the jets are clipped on to the wiper arm, so any blades can be used.

On a similar idea has anyone tried heatshot?

Fancy doing this on the Defender to get rid of flies in the summer with near vertical windscreen!

Just fitted these to mine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/201661218144?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT

Only took about an 40 minutes from start to finish with a bit of Censored about. I left the central jet in place and fished the pipes through the other grommets (opening my flaps and going through the ashtray hole with some fiddling). However, the place I went to only had PVC pipe so it's not as flexible as rubber hose. It kinks a bit easier. I also used the existing grommets and just made a hole in them - not great and with the movement they pop out so need some better ones so no (less) water ingress. Water spread is good and pressure ok Smile

If I ever take out the dash, i'll fit the nice double jet setup as it looks more OEM. TD5 Defender 90

has anyone tried fitting bonnet mounting spray nozzles? My wife's 1 series BMW has great spreader nozzles that coat the windscreen better than a single jet. Wondered if this might be a good mod to do. They also have a heater element built in which I assume could be wired up with the windscreen or mirrors if you have them. Would have to work out best place to fit and angle of spray including when driving at some speed. Personally don't like the look of those pipes coming out of the bulkhead and they would surely freeze in the winter.

Funny you should mention this, I pulled out a set of Disco3 heated washers from the spares rack last weekend... Thought to me self... Huh... That'd be cool on the 110. These are the jet versions rather than the spread type of the later disco3s. Look to have a good range of angle they can work through. Figure you might be able to fit them to the slope at the back of the bonnet to direct them a tad... Not sure...

Thats what I thought also. The sloped angle might tuck them neatly away and still allow the spray to hit the window fine. I just ordered a set of used heated BMW jets with pipes and wires attached for £20 to see if this might be feasible. What do the disco jets look like?

I do indeed have two washer jets on my bonnet. I'll get a picture when it's light.

I have 2 twin nozzle jets and any speed over around 40 mph they SOAK the whole screen just like the VW/BMW ones do when stationary. When below 40 mph they spray nicely in the wiped area Thumbs Up 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Assume the result is better than a single or double washer setup on the bulkhead?

Like this;

Twin Jets rather than fan spray.
