Hi all. Quick question. Are the colour coding on the injectors (green, black, yellow...) specific to an engine type (10p or 15p) or vehicle (discovery or defender)?
Or is it just a matter of all black or green or yellow not mixed... Thanks in advance |

I can't see any yellow injectors anywhere - sure that's not the solenoids? Everywhere selling / talking about injectors seems to be suggesting there's two types based on the head - one is either blue or black (MSC000040), and that's the earlier type, which has a lower pressure, or green (MSC000030), which is the later type with a higher pressure. Doesn't seem to matter whether it's a Defender or Disco.
Depending on where you look, it seems you can't use the earlier types in a later head, but you can (according to some anyway) use the green injectors in an earlier head, possibly at a lower efficiency. Some suggestion that it's because the earlier types bottom out, but not found out for sure. Having this odd dilemma at the moment as appear to have a later type (EU3) head on an earlier 10p engine... still trying to figure out what the incompatibilities are myself! |

Funnily enough, I ended up with something similar!
15p engine with 10p ancillaries. May be able to answer any specific questions you have. |
