so sad to hear of the demise of your early 110, what a classic it was. This one is mine, small comfort to you but there are still some early 110's out there but finding them at the right price is getti g more and more difficult.

Another early One Ten fan(atic) here, hence my username.
Such a shame that you lost it like that. As Bows suggests, they are beginning to become a bit "sought after" - horrible expression - especially anything that hasn't been "improved" by previous owners. |

Heritage Certificates are available from the British Motor Museum via their website britishmotormuseum.co.uk.
Fees depend on the level of certificate you choose and take about three weeks. Click image to enlarge |

Your quite right, PKV vehicles were used at the launch of the Ninety , rather than Defender, the One Ten was launched a couple of years earlier.
Mine is an ex factory vehicle and l keep looking out for pictures of the Ninety launch to see if it's in the background. From the build date and despatch/registration date it obviously hung around the factory for a while. It left the factory with 2.25 petrol and five speed box but now has a defender 200tdi and power steering. Otherwise it is very original. |

2 of the most well known ones are mr Hartleys from club off road fame ( and still in regular use on and off raod) and frank elson of lr magazine fame. unsure of where that one is now.
sold mine back in jan 15 i think.Land Rover B897PKV white with a hand painted black roof came from hull area where it had been for many years. |
