I have gone for the Kay's fasteners option that meets DIN912 which is the same as the specs on Allfix's site for the same bolts.
These are 12.9 as 10.9 aren't readily available unless in large quantities. They aren't tightened to a very high torque as the torque specs in the WSM state and I've gone with A4 SS washers. They should be okay by going with black bolts which aren't zinc / electro plated and the SS washers also. So should keep and Hydrogen issues away and also not corrode too fast. (Hardly at all.) For not a lot more, you can have a zinc plated version:

Are you talking about whether they are M10 x 1.5 pitch or M10 x 1.25 fine pitch? Darren

Well I've just gone 1.5 pitch standard.
These: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M10-10mm-HIGH-T...2749.l2649 I cannot imagine them being fine pitch to be honest. No Guts, No Glory.

I don't recall them being fine pitch, just interesting they state m10(10mm) or m10 1.25 as the way to differentiate it! Cheers

Ah, ok. I think that's just down to the vagaries of eBay advert descriptions. M10 is 10mm regardless of the thread pitch. Darren

The drive flange bolts are M10 ISO Metric Coarse Series, i.e., 1.5mm pitch.

Thatโs a relief.
So thatโs the bolt type, size, length and pitch conundrum over. ๐๐ป Iโm guessing that no thread locker is best as mentioned and the spring washer is fine for those purposes. Iโm assumeing that a little copper grease should not be used either. I bit the bullet earlier and bought two pairs of HD flanges and the flange nut tool. Luckily I have plenty of grease thatโs fresh. Bolts arrived today, waiting on the flanges that should be also.
I will also need an 8mm male hex drive bit to suit as well. Best to go 8mm to 3/8โ or 1/2โ female to suit torque wrench? My 3/8โ goes up to 65nm if I recall correctly which should be fine. I looked at the WSM today, and I couldnโt seem to come across the right sections I was hoping to. The only useful info I found was axle oil capacity on a 90 is 1.7L. Iโm considering changing it on the front as the back was done last week. I couldnโt seem to find axle oil drain plug torque figures or info on the halfshafts / drive flanges and torque. I know itโs mentioned on this thread but it would be useful to see the relevant info unless Iโm looking in the wrong sections! I've never felt the need to use a torque wrench on axle fill and drain plugs. As long as you're not a gorilla, it's easy enough to tell when they're tight enough. Darren
