If I look under the rear right hand wheel arch, and look at the back, I can see all the pipe work for the fuel filler, and a lot of wiring to do with the tow electrics is exposed. Is there supposed to be a cover for all this? As it exposed to the full force of any mud and water coming off the rear wheel.
I only spotted it today as I was jet washing the underside to get the salt off. Can get a photo tomorrow if it helps. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV 1966 S2a 109 aka Betsy 1968 S2a 88 aka Bob 2014 Jaaaag F Type 3.0 Supercharged. |

There should be a plastic guard to cover the rear panel and wiring

Thanks, it's to keep the wiring dry. I can always remove it for proper cleaning. Rear crossmember is going to need replacing soon anyway. 2021 Defender 110 X-Dynamic HSE D300 MHEV

Neither of my landys (02 90 CSW, 04 110 XS) had any shielding there! I wouldn't worry about it getting wet, its generally all pretty waterproof.
