They did but it was Land Rovers own fault They promised the soft tops for early summer 2008 delivery but none turned up before November 2008 just when you want your new soft top and just when the credit crunch started to bite. I ordered mine the day after it was launched in November 2007 at Stratstone Durham and was told they were only getting one soft top one station wagon per dealers and the soft top was provisionally sold deposit taken. The same story with most of the dealers So I paid my deposit on the sw. Couple of days later I was told I could have Stocktons allocated soft top in May. Come May no word told July etc. First time I saw one was at lro Peterboro show in September LRs own soft top and a sw for sale for £34000 by a southern dealer Hartfords? I think and I was still told then they were all sold. Come November I was about to cancel mine as I was that p155ed off I was then told I could have the first allocation with some free goodies and a bimini hood direct from LR as apology for the delay. I took delivery and parked it up till March 2009. Land Rover caused the lack of sales themselves by not delivering! Interestingly the one at Stockton the one allocated to me remained there for over 6 months and Durhams SW got transferred to Stockton after they closed. Months later a local car dealer got th sw in px and I was tempted to buy it for £18000.
