Just out of interest. I've heard a lot recently about Pumas having the bonnet's nicked as there's a strong demand from td5/tdi owners to 'facelift' their trucks.

I own a Td5 and am struggling to see any reason why anyone (other than a Puma owner) would want a Puma bonnet on their truck.

Am I just stuck in the past or do other td5/tdi owners share this view?

Edit :- Accepting that if you stick a puma engine in a td5 bay, you'll need a puma bonnet Very Happy - I'm just talking about cosmetics and not mechanicals Jon - 110 td5 [sold]. Currently Defenderless.

I like the older style bonnets myself. I've got a Puma, but I find the bonnet bulge a bit strange looking.

If I had a tdi300 or Td5-powered Defender I'd not want a Puma bonnet on there myself, but to each their own! Very Happy

I've gotten used to the bulge now but it isn't very strong. I certainly can't stand on it when loading the roof rack. I think I'll get me some of that mammouth checquer plate. Thumbs Up One that started out as a 2.4 TDCi 110 XS

Message him, ask to see if you can have a look- see if it looks like he would have ANY link with Land Rovers and if not maybe a police inquiery will be the way ahead?

I used to buy and sell on brand new panels from Series Landies.
Pilcher-Green used to dispose of 'take-offs' when building their ambulances.
Land Rover would only supply them with complete vehicles.

According to the seller's history, he's sold nothing but plant, cars, bikes and car/van parts, including land rover 90/110 steel wheels & bulk heads. Fishy or what...

Just checked my siver bonnet and doors - all okay Neutral If it ain't broke don't fix it!

Doors sold for £741 after 34 bids!

Bonnet currently at £251 after 23 bids with 10 hrs to go.

No wonder they get nicked.
