That's poor isn't it?! My 2014 A4 Quattro is in on Monday for a new gearbox at 30,000m. Not quite the vorsprung durch technik I was hoping for. I'm back looking at late Disco 4s again 🙄

Audi a few years ago were the top VAG brand but the purchase of Skoda, Seat etc and the resulting enhancement of these previously poorly built marques has resulted in the Audi models now being on par with the rest and worse than they were. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

RS3 had a gearbox oil leak, then a cloud of smoke from gearbox need a new something in the gearbox all in less than 1k miles - car was replaced by the dealer after less than 2k miles.
Replacement RS3 has been perfect although only just on 3k miles 2020 P300 HSE |

We have a number of Skoda's on fleet at work and they are hard working, sturdy and in some cases driven VERY hard. Zero problems. Make of that what you will. New project and it's green: www.projectoverland.info

Just replaced a Skoda Octavia with new Passat. The Passat doesnt feel as well built.
I had the Skoda for 3 years and it was hammered. Not a SINGLE issue. I dont have the same confidence in the Passat as yet. |

Hi I think the build quality of Skoda has long been a joke,we own a 2001 Skoda Fabia 1.4 mpi estate which is now 15 years old,it has no rust on it whatsoever,it's solid, reliable and comfortable and practical too with the dog
it's only done 67k miles but it has never let us down,we're giving it to my nephew next week as we've just bought another defender so need the space Paul Tash n Barney Click image to enlarge |

The wife's 11 plate Skoda Yeti which she had from new was an excellent little car which never let her down. Apart from the odd self inflicted scratch it looked as good as new when she chopped it in with 70,000 on the clock for a new A4. The A4 lasted about 6 months as we both found it too uncomfortable to get in and out of. Steve.
Owned numerous Land Rover vehicles of all shapes and sizes over the decades. Current Defender: A non tarts hand-bagged Puma 110 XS USW. [Insert something impressive here such as extensive list of previous Land Rovers or examples of your prestigeous and expensive items, trinkets, houses, bikes, vehicles etc] http://forums.lr4x4.com I used to be Miserable ...but now I'm ecstatic. |

I'm looking at changing my daily driver in the near future, looking at a new Superb estate and all the above comments reinforce my view that it would be a great buy.
