TD5 Diff lock came on when in High gear mode driving in snow
Hi,

Just wondering why the diff lock warning would come on if I'm just in regular HIGH gear mode.

I was driving through some moderate snow and the wheels did spin a little bit.

Any concern?

Seems a bit funny for the diff lock to come on even if the diff lock is not engaged?

Thanks a lot. 1999 Defender 110

Mine also used to come on in snow and very very wet weather. Hasn't since I had a new transfer/gearbox so can only assume it was a faulty switch. 2002 90 Td5 Station Wagon

Went into reverse and drove for a bit. Light turned off but for how long I wonder.

Sort of thinking this was wind up but I thought it only occurred when the differential was switched to locked... 1999 Defender 110

wind up only then in dif lock (yes) Surprised check that you can engage and disengage dif lock with small gear lever right down to the top right side of the transfer box and the small lever on the box Exclamation
