Correct, but the location and size of the holes is critical. I am told that the Alpine lights are especially difficult to get right, and are especially difficult to fit.
The rear quarter windows, assuming you mean the two little windows on either side of the rear door, seriously compromise the security of the vehicle, since they can be removed without tools in under 5 seconds. I would not fit them to one of my vehicles unless I also fitted some kind of security grille. |

I wanted to do just that.
Urban have advised they will not do either, which I find odd as I am sure they have in the past. Anyway, my local independant has just done it on a brand new 90HT apparently without drama, but I understand you have to use older type alpine fittings as the new ones are for roofs with a preformed shape for the alpine windows. Being a coward I think I have pretty much canned the idea Rob 1993 200tdi 90 hard-top 1998 300tdi 90 soft-top 2016 2.2 XS 90 hard-top (sold) |

Cheers Blackwolf, I assumed that would be the case.
CarMan, I've got faith in my local window shop but I know I'm taking a risk. If I end up with one without windows, I'm going to try living with it but I wanted to know if there was an easy solution if I found light and visibility an issue. |

I fitted alpines to an old plain hardtop 90 I had some years back.
Just a case of measuring off of another roof that had the holes in it, then cutting. Use that special tool to get the rubber "inner" bit in place, along with some washing up liquid for lube. Easy job. |

I fitted alpine's to my old 90td and also side windows. Just make sure you measure more than once before cutting, take your time, I used a jig saw but if you have access to a nibler it will be a lot easier. The hardest job was fitting the thin insert without the proper tool, especially as I fitted it to the inside of the vehicle as a deterrent to those who wish to gain acces. Take your time and be patient. HTH. Regards
Dennis. |

Yup. I have fitted them all. Easy really, but the alpine glass is hard to install. V8 90...WIP
