I looked at them but just bought LED festoon bulbs instead.

Had the same problem , tried an LED bulb, blew the fuse, so bought the Mud unit - very pleased with it.

I have the MUD lights in front and rear of my 90. They are very bright. Indeed, at 5'7 the shine right in my eyes. If I rise up a bit then its not an issue. I would think anyone less than 5'8 would be dazzled. However, the red light in a black defender does look rather smart. Adjustments: Startech Steering Wheel | MUD Interior LED lights | Wipac crystal headlights with osram nightbreaker bulbs | Alpine CDE195BT
To do list: Outside rear facing LED lighting | subwoofer and speakers |

^^^^^Stacey007, I used the same(very similar if not the same) that I got from Ebay. Had them in Front, Middle and Rear of 110. Great at first, then over time cells would go out until one day when I could smell plastic burning. Overtime the doors were open and you were getting in or out a very weak joint in the wire was fusing and glowing red. I dumped them before they caused a fire and got the MUD ones instead. Expensive, but great plus I have peace of mind that they came from Kevin/Faye.

I went for the ones from 4x4Overlander. Absolutely superb. Easy to fit and very bright. Look for a picture at the end of this post: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic47089-15.html Edzi |

I was having a discussion with Peter at Nakatanenga about these interior LED lights earlier this week. It seems that Kevin at Mud brought his replacement light out about a month before the Nakatanenga one. December 2015 compared to January 2016 so yes Kevin did just beat Nakatanenga to the post on this one.
The Nakatanenga one is a replacement unit so looks original/factory fitted and does not need a separate plinth. Available in warm white or cool white, both with a red night time facility so that your night time vision is not spoiled. Brendan |

Great to hear, as my interior light has bit the dust. Be another upgrade on the cards next year. Pain not having a light in when you get it the car.

Installed the MUD lights in the front and rear of my 110. Very bright indeed - in retrospect maybe a bit too bright, but we'll see if I keep them

I went for these led replacement lamps. Great at first but after less than a month, individual LEDs started to fail (maybe 4 out of 10) and the remaining ones were only at half brightness. Got a replacement from the seller on eBay no problem, but after less than a week, it's going the same way.
