my new roof rack
Hi there!!

Finally and after several month of work I was able to finish my own designed roof rack.
Most of the work, (except the supports) has been made in aluminium.

Still pending the headlights, the plywwod cover and some supports.

Some photos:

Nice bit of work Thumbs Up , very tidy, any ideas on how much it weighs?

I do not think the market is flooded with quality rrof racks and I think your design from those photos is pretty smart Bow down

Hi and thanks for the comments.

I feel quite proud of the work. The roof rack have some "LR" finishing issues mainly because not all the tools were the adecuated ones for the work. (cross cut saw and a pedestal drill not available)

I can facilitate the drawings if you like Wink , and probably you can found some supports similar to those that I have.

Calculated weight (considering the materials used, bolts, nuts, etc), whitout the plywood floor, should be around 25 - 30 kg and the plywood (9 mm) adds other 20 kg, so, for the size is not so heavy.

Cheers Eduardo
