Heated seats
Now winters upon us, there's a few things that need looking at that I swore I'd do before i needed them Laughing first one is my heated seats, they used to get really hot, now the passenger seat is just warm, and the drivers side doesn't work at all?

Questions

What controls the heating limit? Has it a thermostat connected somewhere?
And although I have supply to the drivers side coming in from the seat box it disappears up into the backrest (that doesn't work) but I could only test the seat connection which is dead? Does it daisychained somehow, and how difficult is it to get to the backrest connection

Wiring is correct for 2005.
Are you sure you are checking the right plug?
One connects to seatbase and joins to seatback element and the other connects to plug coming through seat box.

two heat pads pre seat 2.1 ohms N/C thermostat opens heat up in bottom part of seat

1. open cct heat pads or open cct wiring or thermostat failed open all time

2. seat covers will need to be removed to check all pints in number 1

Heated seats operate with ignition on, there is no engine run signal or feed involved in the heated seat circuits.

The front heated windscreen is only operational with the engine running, perhaps this is where the confusion has come in.
