Td5 Dash Illumination, LED or filament?
The bulb in my temperature gauge burnt out well over a year ago and I keep meaning to get round to replacing it. I was expecting that some of the other bulbs would fail around the same time, but none have as yet. Got me wondering about possibly swapping them all for LED bulbs whilst I have the instrument binnacle out, but I'm unsure whether this would be a good idea or not?

Has anyone else swapped their Td5 instrument bulbs for LED? My main concern is that they will be ridiculously bright and distracting. But also whether to get clear bulbs or green ones? Presumably the standard filament bulbs are just clear and the green tint is in the clock itself?

Any first-hand experiences or advice appreciated Thumbs Up 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

You can't get to the bulb as it's internal part of clock I think soldered on inside somewhere 2008 110 2.4 XS Utility (Hagrid)

I changed mine for LEDs but found them too bright so went back to filament bulbs. 1999 Td5 110 CSW

I've heard before that they can have bright spots with .LED's due to the lack of light dispersal with some LED types. TheThunder RollsπŸ‡¬πŸ‡§πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
