Defender Chums,
If you've got this far, I'm in with a chance as you've not ignored my post!! Sorry for the open appeal, but this is just a quick request in aid of UNICEF for whom some colleagues and I are raising money by cycling between our Head Office in Bordeaux and Nice on the Cote d'Azur. A gentle Autumn's spin of just 800kms in five days. Easy. It's not a huge amount that I have personally been tasked with raising, but as they say 'Every Little Helps'. So if you have a moment, and want to help the disadvantaged children of the world who can't help themselves, like the wee man recently photographed in Aleppo (attached), then please click on the link below and send me those few spare pounds/euros/gold bars you have lurking down the back of the sofa. https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/LeggettAlps-DavidLucas I promise to do you proud. Merci PS, I'm sure you'll all be pleased to hear that the Beast will be acting as one of the support vehicles. Thanks RB. Doing Nice to Alps on the Sat. Have a passenger, but if you're close to the autoroute between Nice and Lyon, could stop for lunch. Assuming my legs can push the clutch....
PM if you're nearby. Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

Many thanks Stacey for your sponsorship, likewise Couplands. Yes, using Garmin although mine (fenix 3) died last week, so I am awaiting the replacement, hopefully by this week, but if not I might have to borrow a mate's. The route will certainly be on on some kind of SM (including Strava, as some colleagues use it) but I'm not public on Strava, Endomondo or Garmin Connect (I don't want to humble people with my electrifying pace... ). As far as Cols are concerned, we have all the classics locally or within an hour or so's drive. Off to Aravis and Colombiere (as used in Stage 20) as my last training ride on Thurs. Here are the routes, will try and find who of the group has Strava in case you guys want to follow progress..(the last leg was done by a Nice local, hence being on Google Maps). Stage one - https://www.plotaroute.com/route/244333 Stage two - https://www.plotaroute.com/route/244339 Stage three - https://www.plotaroute.com/route/245294 Stage four - https://www.plotaroute.com/route/245311 Stage five - https://www.google.fr/maps/dir/83470+Saint...86!1m0!3e1 Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |
