Jaguar F type
Saw one of these yesterday for the first time, was following it and thought what a nice looking car it was.
I didn't know what make or model it was until it got closer when I was following it.

It's got a nice rear end. Whistle

When I looked at the prices I nearly fainted though. Rolling with laughter

None the less, they look very nice and it appears the manual model has the same gearbox orientation as the Defender.
6sp with reverse in the same location even.
Being AWD was a surprise to me as well, so obviously a lot of engineering has gone into it.
It also appears to be twice as quick as the Def and double engine size @ 5L V8 for top spec at £86.000

It is a gorgeous car. Not that expensive when compared with equivalent Porsches etc. Whistle

That's the V6 you've photographed (if that was you), with the twin central tail pipes. As used in the Bowler DC, engine, auto gearbox and pipes. Awesome.

Prefer the sound of the V8 quad pipes: Bow down Bow down Bow down

Wasn't my photo, just added it here as it was the same model as I saw.
The rear is the same with twin pipes so as you say the one I saw wasn't the V8.

Never the less, quite rapid I'd have thought! No Guts, No Glory.

Sister in law has a V6 coupe in white.

Bit of a handful in London but other than that an excellent car.

According to her (and a few others she has spoken to) the top spec V8 is not worth the extra money, even the Jag salesman told her that as well so there must be something in it ! Probably fine for autobahns/track days and posing Laughing

She has got the active exhaust on hers (it was an option when she got hers, now standard I think ) and the sound is something else !

That age were just V12 but bang on 50/50 weight distribution make them surprisingly agile for a big engine. Body work is mostly plastic though
