Jwb - thank you, they would be perfect, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough, they are pretty 'on show'. James

Thanks again smb - that's the locker that jwl suggested and it does offer everything I need in terms of size, ability to access when fully loaded and not losing any space... however I'm really not sure I could live with the way it looks on my 'pretty' Defender with its sleak lines . If I ever go for a proper Overlander with roof rack, awning etc etc I would definitely have one of these but in mine at the moment I just couldn't... I don't think.
I made this same enquiry to MSS who have been very prompt and efficient in their reply with the following suggestions:- Slimline chest behind the 3rd row seats Micro chest - located behind 2nd row seats, between 3rd row seat (removing the plastic trim over seat mounts) Rear side locker - as suggested by jwl and smb but different type Air vent cubby - but very small Rubber quick fit clamps Click image to enlarge I'm hoping to see some of the MSS storage chests at the LRO Show this Saturday. What I really want is a (fully tested and legal) drawer similar to the SofA drawer but maybe only narrower to fit one side only, allowing clear access between the 3rd row seats for ease of access. It would allow good access when fully loaded but still providing a drawer I guess around 300 wide x 600-700 long? Would be better located on right for ease of accessing seats but the rear door stay narrows the drawer, so might be better under the left hand seat so the drawer can go tight to wheel arch? Unfortunately MSS have no plans for anything like this. ^ What sort of price is the one that sits behind the second row, Now keen on the boot one as kids would never get in / out very easily?

Not cheap, https://www.mobilestoragesystems.net/produ...7515994375
The trouble with either chest is if you're fully loaded with gear in the back and need the recovery gear you're stuffed as you'd never get to it! Could just tip middle seats forward I guess. Hello
Your right, I have the Hi viz vests in the back door load strap pocket then use of of these, Which sticks like glue on the carpet where ever you place it. Its cheap and stores a lot of stuff. Also when you load the car you can leave it near the back so as you say you can get at it. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Car-Boot-Tidy-St...SwwbdWMzuj Its not as neat as the solutions your looking at but works well and holds a lot (plus its cheap |

maybe some small soft bag/s under the middle row of seats and you can access them when you need them?

To clarify my prior post, I was suggesting the driver and passenger front floor panel replacement storage boxes from GMB, they hide nicely under the floor mats and are bolt in. Not cheap though.

^^^^ Nothing of GMB's is cheap. Prob top price, but there's very little that can match the quality^^^ Entreq came close, but wasn't reliable on delivery.
MSS are dear, but a lot cheaper than what SOA were plus with MSS you get fantastic aftercare |

Thanks jwb, I didn't see those. I need to get my tape measure out as doesn't look very big, but otherwise ideal.
I have someone looking into the idea of a narrow drawer in rear, but for now under middle seats will do. Thanks all. In regards the Paranoid drawer, I think these are the makers of it. Not exactly the same one, but I think they do custom jobs ...
