Surely any vet can do that for you? If you can't find one, visit a mairie (Town hall) tomorrow and ask for the nearest vétérinaire, every town and many villages have a vet and a town hall.

De rien
BTW if you don't speak French you'll probably find most vets will speak English albeit reluctantly, especially up in the north. |

You can buy vermifuge at chemists as well.
Just know your dogs weight in kilos for the dosage. If you see a vet surgery, just go in because the receptionist will be able to sell it without an appointment. |

True but does he need something from the vet to prove its been done? I'm not sure what the rules are taking a dog back into the UK.

I used the stickers from the labels inside that the vets used and they were ok but that was a while ago now.
Maybe take the passport and dog into reception and ask for their stamp on it. It's a tampon btw |

I think they are pretty strict and will refuse you passage if all the paperwork is not correct. I wonder what will happen when the UK is no longer in the EU? They could reintroduce the six month quarantine.

We had 2 horses transported from the UK last week with a big professional company. The driver told me they didnt ask for anything on file at all but just handed him the microchip scanner and shout out the numbers as he scanned each horse.
granted it was a fu#k off big lorry so he probably couldnt be bothered and assumed the big professional company would have their stuff in order. |

We take or dogs on a regular basis to France. The dogs MUST see a vet for treatment (vets no what this is and are familiar with the P.E.T.S scheme) before traveling and the passport must be stamped/signed by the vet. Yo need to wait a minimum of 24hrs before you can cross. At Euro tunnel - Calais you have to report to the PET section where the dogs passport is show and checked along with the microchip to ensure all tally up. On pretty every occasion when have been someone has it wrong and has to visit a local vet, get new tickets - all at a big expense so well worth getting it correct.
This assumes the dog has already had the Rabies vaccination and has a pet passport and waited the correct number of days after having the vaccination before trying to enter the UK! This applies to Dogs, Cats and Ferrets! Horses, Cows etc are subject to other schemes! See .... https://www.gov.uk/take-pet-abroad/overview Cheers Simon ------------------------- 50th D90 - my toy!
