An increasing number of very silly people texting, checking emails, Facebook etc. And now car manufacturers have started to advertise that their cars can read out new Facebook messages. Just crazy. Concentrate on driving and seeing the latest picture of your Facebook friend can surely wait until you've stopped driving. Oops, wrong thread to progress onto a rant!

^^^^ very true!

That's all we seem to see, people with their heads down, on the phone emailing or texting someone. 80" 80" 86" 88" 90"

Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered.

Not something I saw from a Defender, but in a past life, my Manager took me to our Derby Office. When we left, he decided to join the M1 with a bottle of drink between his legs, checking his emails on his Blackberry, talking to his wife on the hands free kit and lighting a cigar all at the same time. Oh did I mention he was doing just over 100mph in his V8 Jag? Kinda scary. In all fairness to him, he drove astronomical mileage and he never had an accident. Only got a couple of speeding tickets as well. At that kind of speed, not something you would witness in a Defender.
