Rear axle Defender puma vs. rear axle Discovery 1 300 tdi. What is diferent?

Hi Mulec. You really only have 2 options for a 110 rear axle and that is due to the weight bearing capacity. You have the Salisbury and the P38 axles to choose from, they are rated for use on 110s and 130s. Whereas the Rover rear diff is only rated for the lighter 90 and Discovery.
I guess it depends what you plan to use the 110 for, if light weight jobs then the Disco axle would do, but if overlanding or heavy weight jobs then you will need either the Salisbury (found on 110s up to 2001) or the P38 axle (found on 110s from 2002 onwards) |
