I don't think you could better the D4 and current RR and previous model RR.
Sadly the Defender of course is missing in the line up. I don't like the Evoke line up, annoyingly that seems the design trend they are following which makes them look more and more Eurobox SUV looking. |

Agreed, Steve.
Although "camouflaged", you can see the Range Rover family resemblance. I think I will have to change mine a little earlier and try and get one of the last D4's next year and keep it like my Defender. That looks a bit like a FL1's rear.
(Some similarities there too.) |

I will be gutted if the replacement for the D4 is smaller... What's the point?

It definately was lower than mine, not sure on length but it did look shorter. Cheers Simon

Based on the spy shots of the new D5 I ordered one of the last of the D4's.
I'm sure the new D5 will be a great car but I don't think it will be as practical or as unique as the D3/4. Having said that I'm biased as I've had a D3 for the last 7 years. Defender Td5 Commercial 2002 Range Rover L322 TDV8 Westminster 2012 Discovery 4 SDV6 Landmark 2016 |

Looks suspiciously like the Range Rover sport size with a slightly longer/ more practical boot...
form over function... The D4 i had was immense, it just broke... Now the D5 I'm sure will be more reliable, but so much less practical... |

I don't think that's the D5, which is running around with much less camouflage on now. Plenty of pics over on Disco4.com. I think that's the 'big' Evoke which is further behind in the development schedule.
It's quite telling that it's difficult to tell the different models apart though Darren 110 USW BUILD THREAD - EXPEDITION TRAILER - 200tdi 90 BUILD THREAD - SANKEY TRAILER - IG@landroveranorak "You came in that thing? You're braver than I thought!" - Princess Leia |

The one I saw and spoke to the driver said it was the new Discovery! Unless it was misdirection!
Stacey007, that looks almost identical to the one I saw, just a few letters out on reg. If I may be allowed to make a point, they are all hideously vanilla, beige, jelly mold, bland lumps and the man in charge of the felt tip faries needs to invest in a different design algorithm because the current one is like a broken record player. If all the models from one manufacturer are the same but for scale it devalues the brand, if no one but the owner can tell the difference between the models the rest of the world will look on and think 'oh that is just one of the cheaper ones I could buy that' whereas if as it was there's a noticeable difference between the top and bottom of the range then people who are inclined towards aspiring can invest in an expensive one safe in the knowledge that everyone knows how much money they have thus enriching the brand.
Or I'm over thinking it again. Rhubarb and custard let fly with their secret weapon. |

Not overthinking Lambert, I agree mostly.......
I think the Discovery 4 has good road presence, as you said Lambert and it had not been thrown in the RR jelly mound, until now!
