Well ive ended up with a donor car, it just so happend to turn up at the right time and price so if my plans turn out i can make it work.
Its currently a TD5 110 defender county station wagon with a full internal P&P role cage, 4x bucket seats compertition harneses, floor safe, expidition roof rack Goodridge MTR tyres etc etc. Ill be working on the car its self to get it how i want it minus the engine transplant first, and as said if my plans work out and i dont loose incentive ill hope to give it a transplant some time in the middle of the year once the rest of the car is how i want it and after ive done the developement work on the engine etc etc. Ill post a few pics of the car as i can. Shame you have sorted a Defender for your engine project as I have a new fully galvanised puma 110 chassis and was hoping to fit a 2.7 TDV6 engine and marry it to an auto box.
On a separate note.... When you converted the TD5 to TDV6 did you have to modify the engine mounts much.......... as once I have a rolling chassis was hoping to visit you and gather best way of fitting TDV6 either by you / your company doing the work or advice. Look forward to seeing your comments. |

The engine mounts i made for the TDV6 conversion by cutting the old TD5 mounts of and welding some made ones to the chassis.
