awesome
A 130 would be nice set up for travelling. Is it pyshically possible to put the 6 speed man behind this engine, or is the auto the only option?
Anything you do would be a master piece pete.

Is there a kit available to the public yet? (for the 2.7TDV6) Not including the donar engine and gearbox, are you able to give an estimate on price, if someone is a capable mechanic? Or is it all too detailed? I might be up for an engine transplant for the td5...........

Good luck and im looking forward to the write up...

Thanks scott.

oh ok, you would think LR would make something to match the vehicles torque and power.

nope i meant a 2.7TDV6 D3 clutch... so a 3.0TDV6 has more torque

Well ive ended up with a donor car, it just so happend to turn up at the right time and price so if my plans turn out i can make it work.

Its currently a TD5 110 defender county station wagon with a full internal P&P role cage, 4x bucket seats compertition harneses, floor safe, expidition roof rack Goodridge MTR tyres etc etc.
Ill be working on the car its self to get it how i want it minus the engine transplant first, and as said if my plans work out and i dont loose incentive ill hope to give it a transplant some time in the middle of the year once the rest of the car is how i want it and after ive done the developement work on the engine etc etc.

Ill post a few pics of the car as i can.

Pete

Shame you have sorted a Defender for your engine project as I have a new fully galvanised puma 110 chassis and was hoping to fit a 2.7 TDV6 engine and marry it to an auto box.

On a separate note....

When you converted the TD5 to TDV6 did you have to modify the engine mounts much.......... as once I have a rolling chassis was hoping to visit you and gather best way of fitting TDV6 either by you / your company doing the work or advice.

Look forward to seeing your comments.

The engine mounts i made for the TDV6 conversion by cutting the old TD5 mounts of and welding some made ones to the chassis.
