Intermittent brake squeal.
Hi all.

My 2014 90 is suffering from an intermittent brake squeal which I believe is coming from one of the rear wheels. It only manifests itself at low speeds, up to about 15 mph.

I took it into my local main dealer a couple of weeks ago as it is still under warranty but on two test drives over a couple of days they couldn't get it to appear, and couldn't spot any uneven wear on pads or disks They did kindly offer to strip and clean the brakes, all for the bargain price of £180, + VAT Shocked . Naturally I declined.

Does anyone have any suggestions / advice before I contact the dealer again?

Thanks - David.

Just take the wheels of give the pads and disks a good clean and put a bit of copper slip on the backs of the pads.

As Marks comment but also put a chamfer on the leading edge of the pads( about 3mm)
