Asked and answered I think! I looked briefly into retrofitting Disco2 deadlocking door locks into my Defender and came to the conclusion that it was far too difficult, requiring much chopping and changing to the door and strikers. |

I think you are right, one of those things you could only go one way with.
Once you start you couldn't go back and could end up with a heap of issues. Suppose it's due to the Defender harking back to its past and why it's often different to modern similarities. |

Could always try and fit a set of doors from a Santana PS-10... if you can find some?
No idea if the latches are compatible or whether they could be made so, but the door aperture/shape is I believe the same or at least very similar. |

Click image to enlarge Better than a Kahn production anyway As another option steve, you may be able to find some Volvo door handles as they are the same sort of shape and mount on fairly square cars?
